Happy Dragon Day!!!

It's that time of year again, time to go out and show your appreciation for your favorite dragon! National Appreciate a Dragon Day (today, Jan 16th) is the perfect occasion to tell our draconian friends how much we care, though we often seem to take them for granted. So get off your computer, bundle up against the cold and take some cookies to your local dragon - maybe he'll even let you warm up in his lair, if you mix in enough chocolate chips in the dough!!

If I believed in Dragons-
Which I don’t

I’d say they were very stubborn
~~Yes, we are.
They’re always insisting
Persisting, resisting
~~Indeed
At lease, they would, I think
If they were real.
~~We are!
There’s a fake one on my bookshelf
And sometimes I think-
~~Ohh…that’s where that burning smell is coming from…
Oh, hush. You aren’t real.
But sometimes I think-
~~We are too!
No, dragons aren’t real, you see,
Only the products of an overactive imagination-
~~Not a problem of yours
That I don’t believe in.
~~You do too.
Do not, but if I did, I’d think that dragons
~~That’s me!
Are very cheeky.
~~Hmph.
As I was saying – Ahem.
I sometimes think that my pretend dragon-
~~Hmph.
- Winks at me. Though I’m sure –
~~Are you?
Stop interrupting! Yes, I’m sure that
It’s all in my head
~~There’s certainly room enough.
Dragons would be sarcastic too –
~~Ohh, feel the burn!
If they existed.
~~Betcha can’t prove that we don’t.

It’s hard to argue the nonexistence-

And insults you the whole time
